We hereby share with you the legal sues about OEM, the H’ brand(OEM) locks out the third-party ink cartridges through upgrading the firmware in the printers, was sued collectively for breach of Florida Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act. 
 
“From Actionable, on August 27, 2019, John Parziale, an the H’brand(OEM) printer user, filed a class-action against the H’brand(OEM) and amended on November 13, in the amended complaint, the plaintiff alleged that the H’brand(OEM) locks out the third-party ink cartridges through upgrading the firmware in the printers, and there are about 34 the H’brand(OEM) printer models covered in this suit, including different models of the H’brand(OEM) Officejet and Officejet Pro series. On December 30,2019, the H’brand(OEM) responded the complaint, the H’brand(OEM) stated that it doesn’t have the obligation to make its printers compatible with the third-party cartridges, and asked the court to dismiss the class action as well as plaintiff’s request for injunctive relief.On January 30,2020, the plaintiff filed an opposition against the H’brand(OEM), in the opposition, the plaintiff’s attorney said that the H’brand(OEM) should disclose to customers at the point of sale that the H’brand(OEM) doesn’t have such obligation, and the H’brand(OEM)’s behavior violated Florida Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act, so the injunctive relief is necessary. ”
